These graphs show the effect of weather on the demand for electricity.

The black line shows the expected effect when the weather is normal for that time of year.

Blue lines indicate those days when the weather effect was less than normal. These correspond to warmer than normal days during the winter months and cooler than normal days during the summer months.

Red lines indicate those days when the weather effect was greater than normal. During the winter months, these are days with colder than normal temperatures, while during the summer they are characterized by above normal temperatures.

The weather effect takes into account temperature, wind, lighting, and humidity. The normal effect is determined by analysing records over a thirty year period.
