The IESO strives to ensure that participants have the information they need to manage their business in Ontario’s wholesale electricity market.

This section contains the important services that the IESO provides to both current and prospective market participants – services that will help you understand, join and navigate Ontario’s wholesale electricity market. Links below will take you to important parts of the market.

Marketplace Training – lists a series of training courses and online material designed to help new participants learn about the market and help those with industry experience improve their knowledge

Settlements – presents information on how participants are billed by the IESO

Metering – provides an overview of the obligations of metered market participants, meter service provides and the IESO

Connection Assessments – outlines the IESO’s process for evaluating the reliability impacts from a new or modified connection to the power grid
