Tool Simulations

Tool simulations allow you to practice using the market systems in a controlled environment. The simulations are interactive and are designed to look like the live systems - however they are not actually connected to the IESO market computer systems.

Each screen contains instructions so that you can easily move through the simulation. Some tasks also have a 'self-test' simulation, with the instructions hidden.

Enter all dollar amounts as whole dollars, including the decimal points and two zeroes. (The simulations are different from the live system - in the live IESO market computer system, you can enter whole dollar amounts with or without the decimal point and two zeroes.)

Enter all megawatt amounts for Ontario resources with the decimal point and one zero. (The simulations are different from the live system. In the live system, you can enter bids and offers from Ontario resources as whole megawatts with or without the decimal point and one zero.)
