Compliance Auditing of Reliability Standards for Ontario Market Participants (SE-93)

This stakeholder initiative, led by the IESO�s Market Assessment and Compliance Division (MACD), will establish the processes for conducting audits of market participant compliance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) reliability standards and Northeast Power Coordinating Council (NPCC) criteria.

Compliance with reliability standards by Ontario market participants is mandatory through the Market Rules. MACD is accountable for the monitoring and enforcement of compliance with reliability standards and criteria.

This stakeholder initiative will be of interest to market participants that are required to comply with the NERC reliability standards and NPCC criteria. This includes all market participants with bulk power system connected facilities and traders.

This stakeholder engagement plan has been developed to define the opportunity for stakeholder involvement.
