Consultation on the IESO Consultation Handbook

Initial Announcement and Supporting Materials

On July 8, 2002 the IESO initiated a consultation on an enhanced consultation process to ensure that all market participants and stakeholders can be involved and provide advice on the evolution of Ontario's competitive IESO administered markets.

The enhanced consultation process was outlined in the draft IESO Consultation Handbook. This draft handbook was initially developed in consultation with a set of market participants and stakeholders through the various Technical Advisory Teams used at that time by the IESO as a source of technical advice on market issues.

Stakeholder Feedback and IESO Assessment

Advice on changes to the process was provided by interested parties from July 10 to December 31, particularly at the August 13 and November 26 Market Advisory Council meetings.

That advice, the IESO's assessment and resultant changes are documented in the minutes of the August 13th Council meeting in Section 4 and Appendix C and the November 26th Council meeting Section 4. (August 13th Minutes, November 26th Minutes)

Results

The draft Consultation Handbook was revised to incorporate the resultant changes and the new Handbook was posted the first week of February 2003.
